Optional "Pre-Assessment" Consultation
If you just wish to
discuss your diet and health in general terms, and would like to
find out more information before proceeding with a full
consultation, then this brief 20-minute
"taster"
consultation is for you. Please note that within the scope of
this short consultation, it will only be
possible to provide general dietary recommendations and an overview
of the range of diagnostic tests
that are available. Should you subsequently decide to go ahead
with a full consultation, you will be entitled to a discount.
Initial (Full) Consultation
The first step for
a prospective client is to complete and return a detailed health and dietary
questionnaire (including a 5-day food diary), in order to provide as much detail as possible about
themselves.
(However, to you save time, a summarised version of the questionnaire can be downloaded, completed
and returned via email - for further information,
The initial Full consultation with
Nutricoach lasts approximately 1.5 hours, where you
will be provided with an individual Action Plan and Programme suited to your own
unique requirements, addressing your main health concerns. This
will be based on a detailed assessment of your dietary habits,
full medical and family history, and overall lifestyle. No
stone will be left unturned. Practical advice will also be given on
meal planning, recipe ideas and food shopping.
To help save a few trees, your Action Plan, factsheets/handouts and
other relevant information, will be provided to you on a
personalised CD. Two weeks' telephone and email support is
also included, should clients have any queries or problems.
Various measurements will be taken,
including weight,
body fat & water ratios, visceral fat, muscle mass, bone mineral mass, basal
metabolic rate, and blood pressure. Asthmatics, and those with
respiratory complaints, will also have
their Peak Flow measured.
Where necessary,
specific diagnostic tests will be recommended in order to
ascertain or confirm certain suspected conditions or nutritional
imbalances.
As a souvenir, clients will also
receive a complimentary
'Nutricoach'
fridge magnet (while stocks last).
Follow-up
Consultations
A follow-up
consultation (30-45 minutes) will normally be scheduled
approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the 1st
full consultation, in order to monitor progress, review and adjust your
Programme,
and address any outstanding issues. Further follow-ups can be
scheduled if required.
Total
Confidentiality
All consultations, and all information discussed,
will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Home Visits
You
may wish to have a consultation in the comfort of your own home,
so home visits can be arranged - please
contact Nutricoach for further information - an additional fee
may apply for this service, to cover fuel, travel costs etc.
(For "long-distance" clients, it may be
possible to have a pre-assessment consultation via telephone
and email.)
Food Shopping
Expedition (an additional personal service)
Accompanied by the nutritionist, you will spend an hour in your local
major supermarket, where
you will be shown examples of the best foods to suit you and your budget,
and advised on healthier alternatives to your current favourite
foods. Food labelling will also be explained to you. Although
strongly recommended, it is not necessary to have a consultation in order to
make use of this service. Please
contact Nutricoach for further information.
Nutritional
Supplements
During the consultation, it is
possible that nutritional supplements may be recommended to you.
If you would like the nutritionist to order these supplements on your
behalf, then they must be paid for in advance.
**Cancellation
Policy**
Please note that a minimum of 24
hours' notice must be given if you wish to cancel a consultation.
Cancellations made after this period will incur the full cost of the
consultation.
