Nutricoach is a private nutrition consultancy, run by Simon Lewis
Dip BCNH, MBANT, MCMA,
NTCC.
Based in the North Cotswolds, between Moreton-in-Marsh
and Shipston-on-Stour,
Nutricoach has clients as far afield as London, Essex,
Kent, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Derbyshire. Simon also holds regular
consultations at the
Shipston Natural Health Centre
in Shipston-on-Stour, and the
Raleigh Park Clinic (formerly
Bell Trees Natural Health Clinic) in Oxford.
Simon is a qualified Nutritional Therapist, and studied at the
UK College of
Nutrition and Health (BCNH) in London. He later became a Clinical Tutor
at the College, holding the post for nearly 3 years.
In 2008, Simon was appointed as a Clinical Assessor and tutor at the
University of Worcester.
He is registered with the
following professional bodies and associations: Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC), British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT),
the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and the
Complementary Medical Association (CMA). Simon was elected as a
member of
BANT's Governing Council
in 2007. He
is also a recognised
PruHealth
Provider (no. PRU3607692), and a registered YorkTest Practitioner.
Simon
first became aware of the impact of food on health during his teens,
when he found that by cutting down on the "4 C's" (chocolate,
caffeine, citrus and cheese) the frequency and severity of his
migraines
dramatically reduced.
In addition to private
one-to-one consultations,
Simon has contributed to a book on Child Nutrition, writing a
section on how food additives may affect children’s health and
behaviour. He is a regular contributor to
articles in
publications
such as ‘Zest’, ‘Elan’, ‘Healthy’, 'The Oxford Times' and ‘Limited Edition’, and occasionally provides nutritional advice to companies on their
products or assists in an educational capacity.
Simon has also been a 'guest
nutritionist' on BBC Essex Radio, and co-hosted a 'healthy oils and
vinegars' tasting session at Harrods.
