Nutricoach is a private nutrition practice, run by Simon Lewis
Dip BCNH, MBANT, MCMA.
The practice is based in the North Cotswolds, between Moreton-in-Marsh
and Shipston-on-Stour,
however, Nutricoach has clients as far afield as London, Essex,
Kent, Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Derbyshire. Simon also holds regular
consultations at the Raleigh Park Clinic (formerly
Bell Trees Natural Health Clinic) in Oxford, and the
Shipston Natural Health Centre
in Shipston-on-Stour.
Simon is a qualified Nutritional Therapist, and studied at the
UK College of
Nutrition and Health (BCNH) in London, where he is now a Clinical Tutor.
In 2008, he was also appointed as a Clinical Assessor at the
University of Worcester.
He is registered with the
following professional bodies: British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the
Complementary Medical Association (CMA), and the Complementary
Therapists Association (CThA). In 2007, Simon was elected as a
member of the
BANT Governing Council.
Simon
first became aware of the impact of food on health during his teens,
when he found that by cutting down on the "4 C's" (chocolate,
caffeine, citrus and cheese) the frequency and severity of his
migraines
dramatically reduced.
In addition to private
one-to-one consultations,
Simon has contributed to a book on Child Nutrition, writing a
section on how food additives may affect children’s health and
behaviour. He is a regular contributor to articles in
publications
such as ‘Zest’, ‘Elan’, ‘Healthy’, 'The Oxford Times' and ‘Limited Edition’, and occasionally provides nutritional advice to companies on their
products or assists in an educational capacity.
Simon has been a 'guest
nutritionist' on BBC Essex Radio,
has previously worked
alongside a well-known personal
training & fitness company, and also co-hosted a 'healthy oils and
vinegars' tasting session at Harrods.
